There’s no immediate or easy resolution in sight. What we do know is that this basic recipe produces some delicious and healthful beverages—whatever you call them.

Making nut milk is an easy process that’s pretty consistent among varieties. This basic formula is good for almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts and pistachios.

Brazil nuts produce extremely thick, velvety milk that could be considered the full-fat version of the nut-milk world. I regularly drink it on its own, but my kids love flavored milk, so I created this recipe with them in mind.
