From Keeping Bees, by Ashley English
No need to purchase store-bought salad dressings. Using fresh quality ingredients, you can quickly put together your own dressings, spending considerably less and getting far more in terms of fl avor. Th is vinaigrette uses grain mustard but would work equally well with Dijon. Toss it with some arugula, use it as a fl avorful marinade for chicken or pair it with cold pasta and chopped tomatoes for an easy salad.
Yields 2 cups
1 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons grain mustard
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Sea salt
Black pepper
Place the olive oil, honey, mustard, vinegar, and garlic powder into a lidded container, such as a glass mason jar. Top with lid and shake until well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste and shake again.
Use immediately or store covered in the refrigerator. Olive oil will become solid upon refrigeration. Bring to room temperature and shake to recombine before using.
