Local Farm & Producer Resource List

Note: Protocols are changing rapidly. Please check-in first with any farm or business to get up-to-date procedures before ordering, and call for availability before visiting.

UPDATED: 4/3

Farmers Markets are necessary retail outlets for farmers and shoppers alike. “Farmers markets are essential to the livelihood of farmers and food access, not just a social gathering,” notes the national Farmers Market Coalition. “While markets may need to close in extreme circumstances, such closures could be disastrous for both farmers and the shoppers who rely on the market.” Since some area farmers markets are being closed, our local farmers, who have plenty of freshly harvested veggies and other products, are getting creative about selling and have ramped up safety protocols.

At Markets and farm stands, look for lots of handwashing and wipes … plus, no sampling … and, PLEASE DON’T TOUCH THE FOOD!! Just point and they will bag for you. If you’re ANY hint of sick, please request a delivery and DO NOT go out.

We are in a time that is new for each of us and navigating through this takes a village. We have compiled this ongoing list to support local farms and producers who cannot afford to lose their income – and, many of us need their products and services. Home delivery, drop-off sites, farm pick-up, free or low cost shipping… all are ways we can now support our North Texas food producer community.

We are working on many moving parts to keep this list updated for our readers, followers and community during this unimaginable time. Please follow us @edibledfw or subscribe to our newsletter on our home page for updates. If you want to be added to this Local Resource list, or are listed and have a change in circumstances, please email maria@edibledfw.com to UPDATE your information.
