Mamie’s Baked Beans

1 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 can of Durkee’s Onions
1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
1 medium white onion (diced)
5 strips of bacon
72 ounces baked beans

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Whisk together ketchup, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, lemon juice and garlic powder. Chop bacon into half inch pieces and place in casserole dish.

Place casserole dish in oven and partially cook bacon (approximately 5 to 7 minutes). Remove from oven; combine remaining ingredients and cook uncovered for 2½ hours.
